About Selina

Selina Zydor is a children’s book author from New York City currently living in rural Virginia.

 
 

Selina Zydor is a 2024 PBParty finalist, a 2023 mentee of the Rutgers University Council on Children’s Literature, a two-time winner of the Raynor Wallace Award for Poetry, and an active member of The Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators, 12x12, and The Virginia Writers Club. Before discovering a love of writing picture books, Selina wrote for Power & Motoryacht magazine and the Journal of Empirical Research on Human Research Ethics.

Selina grew up in New York, where she earned degrees in English and Bioethics from Columbia University, but now writes and dreams in rural Virginia.
